APC Wins Three Councillorship Seats in Lagos By-Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) secured victories in three councillorship by-elections conducted by the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) across three wards. In the Orimedu ward C, Ibeju Lekki, APC candidate Rufai Kafayat Abosed won with 8,386 votes, defeating Samsideen Adelek of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), who garnered only 27 votes.
In the Odi Olowo Ojuwoy Local Council Development Area, Kayod Fadeyi of the APC won ward H with 3,820 votes, defeating ADC's Ifeanyi Abidemi Onwenu, who received 260 votes. In Shomolu Local Government Area, APC's Kehind Halimat Jolaosho emerged victorious in ward F with 2,546 votes, while the closest challenger, Ifeanyibech Anyamebech of the ADC, received 157 votes.
The elections were necessitated by the unfortunate demise of the previous councillors. LASIEC Chairman Justice Bola Okikiolu (retd) monitored the exercise, which was conducted peacefully and transparently.
