Adeola Critiques Obasanjo's Political Return in Ogun

Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, a senator from Ogun West and a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), criticized Iyabo Obasanjo for her return to Ogun State politics, suggesting it is driven by personal interests rather than a commitment to serve the people. Adeola made these remarks in response to Obasanjo's recent announcement of her candidacy for the governorship, after she defected from the APC to the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

He stated that her demand for a refund of campaign expenses is indicative of her self-serving motives. Adeola emphasized that her sudden interest in the governorship race, which he claims is primarily to recoup investments, does not align with the needs of Ogun State.

He also mentioned that any legal challenges against the APC's governorship candidacy would fail due to existing legal provisions. Adeola's statements were made during an address to market leaders in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area, where he expressed confidence in promoting welfare and economic growth in Ogun State.
