APM Welcomes Defections of Governors Bala Mohammed, Makinde

The All Peoples Movement (APM) issued a statement on Monday, denying reports of a faction within the party, which they labeled as fake news aimed at destabilizing the organization ahead of future electoral contests. The statement, authorized by former pioneer chairman of the party's board of trustees, Muham Musa Bagana, rejected claims made by a purported faction led by Muham Bello.

Bagana clarified that there is no faction within APM and emphasized that the party is not involved in any pending appeals in the Supreme Court regarding leadership disputes. He noted that previous political disagreements had been amicably resolved.

The APM welcomed the defection of Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, describing their movement to the party as a major boost for Nigeria's democratic process. The party believes that this development strengthens its position as a viable political platform capable of competing effectively in future elections and delivering democratic dividends to Nigerians.
