APRA and NAMPAA Sign MoU for 2026 Conference in Namibia

The African Public Relations Association (APRA) and the Namibian Press Agency (NAMPAA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to co-host the 2026 Effective Communicators Conference (ECC), scheduled for July 14-17, 2026, in Swakopmund, Namibia. The conference will focus on communication strategies to drive progress and will be co-organized with the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) of Namibia.

APRA Secretary General Omoniyi Ibietan and APRA President Arik Karani represented their organizations during the signing. The event aims to gather leaders, practitioners, and decision-makers to discuss communication's role in shaping Africa's narrative on the global stage.

Karani emphasized the commitment to collaboration and the importance of establishing a foundation for progress through effective communication. The ECC 2026 is expected to draw significant participation from Southern Africa and will address contemporary communication challenges.
