APRA and NAMPAA Sign MoU for ECC 2026 Conference

The African Public Relations Association (APRA) and the Namibian Press Agency (NAMPAA) have strengthened their collaboration by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) ahead of the ECC 2026 conference, scheduled to take place from July 14-17, 2026, in Swakopmund, Namibia. This agreement follows an earlier invitation for NAMPAA to co-host the conference, which will be themed around the leadership of Namibia's Ministry of Information, Communication, and Technology (MICT), led by Minister Emma Theofelu.

The conference is expected to attract around 1,000 participants and will feature six strategic forums, including discussions with heads of state, diplomats, industry leaders, editors, journalists, and public relations professionals. APRA President Mr.

Arik Karani and Secretary General Dr. Omoniyi Ibietan emphasized the importance of this collaboration in re-examining public relations narratives and shaping developmental outcomes.

Additionally, APRA's 2026 annual general meeting is scheduled to occur in Abuja in November, coinciding with the World Public Relations Forum.
