Aptech Awards N701m in Scholarships to Nigerian Students

Aptech Nigeria has distributed scholarships exceeding N701 million to over 200 students through its 2026 Career Quest programme, which attracted more than 8,000 participants nationwide. The 18th edition of the programme took place from August 7 to August 15, 2023, with physical events held in Lagos, Abuja, Calabar, Enugu, Ibadan, and Abeokuta, followed by online sessions on August 20 and 21.
The programme emphasized career opportunities in fields such as artificial intelligence, software development, cybersecurity, data science, cloud computing, networking, animation, multimedia, and digital design. Aptech also introduced international education opportunities through its partnership with Middlesex University London, allowing eligible students to use a Credit Transfer Facility to progress to undergraduate programmes in the UK.
The scholarship initiative responds to the growing demand for technology skills and digital jobs in Nigeria, where young people are increasingly pursuing training in these areas. Kallol Mukherjee, executive vice president of international business at Aptech Limited, noted the strong interest in careers linked to the digital economy.
