Aptech Nigeria Bridges Digital Skills Gap with Scholarships

Aptech Nigeria is addressing the digital skills gap in Nigeria's labor market, where there is a mismatch between the skills employers need and those job seekers possess. At its inaugural national convocation held on August 8, 2023, at the Sheraton Lagos, Aptech recognized over 130 graduates and awarded four outstanding students with scholarships for eligible programs at Middlesex University in the United Kingdom, valued at approximately N15 million each, totaling an estimated N60 million.

Dr Kallol Mukherjee, Executive Vice President and Head of International Business at Aptech, encouraged graduates to continue developing their skills as technology evolves. The event, themed ‘One Milestone.

Many Futures,’ attracted over 400 attendees, including parents, education partners, and industry representatives. Special Guest of Honour, Kate Henshaw, received the Social Impact Innovative Award and urged graduates to apply their skills in the real world.

Aptech operates over 70 centers in Nigeria, providing a broad distribution network for technology and vocational training.
