Army Arrests Four Boko Haram Logistics Suppliers in Borno

Troops of the Joint Task Force North-East, Operation HADIN KAI, arrested four suspected collaborators of Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) during intelligence-led operations in Yobe and Borno states. The Acting Military Information Officer, Capt.

Mohammed Goni, reported that two suspects were apprehended in Geidam, Yobe State, by the 159 Battalion under Sector 2. They were allegedly supplying hard drugs and other logistics to Boko Haram, with items recovered including a large quantity of suspected Indian hemp, mobile phones, and cash amounting to ₦14,530.

In a separate operation in Monguno, Borno State, at approximately 3:30 p.m. on the same day, troops from Sector 3 Garrison and the 242 Reconnaissance Battalion arrested two suspected ISWAP logistics suppliers. These suspects confessed to transporting food items to ISWAP terrorists in Kwatan Dowoshi Village, Kukawa Local Government Area.

Recovered items included assorted biscuits, milk, sugar, and cash totaling ₦6,600.
