Oyegun Confident ADC Will Lead Nigeria by 2027

John Oyegun, the former governor of Edo State and a prominent figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated during a national convention in Abuja that he is confident the ADC will take over leadership in Nigeria by 2027. He emphasized that the party is prepared to assume governance and is ready to bring about significant changes in Aso Rock.

Oyegun lamented the persistent hardships faced by citizens, attributing these issues to failures in leadership over the years. He described Nigeria as a nation endowed with vast natural resources yet plagued by challenges.

He called for a renewed hope and a mission to rescue the nation, urging party members to be ready to fight for accountability and enforce consequences for public misconduct. Additionally, Rauf Aregbesola, the ADC's national secretary, criticized the Tinubu administration, labeling its "renewed hope agenda" as a scam, and expressed concerns regarding the government's delivery on promises made during its nearly three-year tenure.
