Atiku's SSA Phrank Shaibu Appointed as AU Ambassador

Atiku Abubakar's Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, has been appointed as an ambassador to the African Union's Agenda 2063. The induction ceremony for Shaibu's appointment to the African Union's governing council took place in Abuja on February 4.

The Agenda 2063 is the African Union's 50-year strategic framework aimed at transforming Africa into a global powerhouse through inclusive and sustainable development. Shaibu's nomination was conveyed in a letter dated November 18, 2025, signed by the President of the Pan African AU, Ambassador Stephen Gbatigbi.

Shaibu's nomination was in recognition of his outstanding contributions as an educationist, administrator, and businessman. He currently serves as Atiku Abubakar's Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, bringing nearly three decades of experience in teaching, journalism, public relations, crisis communication, and diplomacy.
