Ayodele Warns of Possible Bandit Attack on Expressway

Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangel Spiritual Church, issued a warning during a Sunday service regarding a possible bandit attack on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, expected to occur in July or August. He urged security agencies to stay alert, although he could not specify the exact timing of the potential attack.

This warning was shared via a video on his official TikTok account. The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is one of Nigeria's busiest highways, serving as a major link between Lagos and several southwestern states and the northern region of the country.

As of the time of reporting, neither the Nigeria Police Force nor the federal government had issued an official security advisory in response to Ayodele's warning. His statement comes amid ongoing concerns about insecurity across Nigeria, particularly following recent incidents where dozens of pupils and teachers were abducted by suspected bandits during coordinated attacks in schools in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
