Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya is poised to emerge as the president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) after winning the 2026 presidential election. Although not officially declared, she secured the highest votes with 7,317, representing 47.18% of the total votes cast.
Her closest rival, Lateef Akangb, received 7,934 votes, accounting for 30.39%, while Olumuyiwa Akinboro came in third with 5,855 votes, or 22.43%. The total number of votes cast in the election was 26,184, with 26,106 being valid.
There were 82,172 registered voters in total. Once officially declared the winner, Badejo-Okusanya will become the second female president of the NBA, following Priscilla Olabori Kuy, who served as the first female president from 1991 to 1992.
