Lingard remarked on BBC Sport that while Fernandes has had an extraordinary season, he may face tough competition from players like Harry Kane, Michael Olise, Lamin Yamal, and Kylian Mbappé, who are arguably ahead in the rankings due to their accomplishments. Pogba emphasized Fernandes's significant impact on the team, stating that he is a strong contender for the Ballon d'Or.
