Kwara Monarch Urges Public to Stop False Banditry Claims

Oba Aliyu Yusuf Arojojoye, the traditional ruler of Babanla community in the Ifelodun local government area of Kwara State, expressed concern over the negative impact of false information regarding banditry on the community's reputation. During the inauguration of a nine-man Transition Implementation Committee for the Babanla Community Development Association (BCDA), he highlighted that recent banditry incidents have led to significant loss of lives and property.

Oba Arojojoye stated that spreading false information not only damages Babanla's good name but also inflicts serious harm on the community. He emphasized that banditry is a national issue, with both federal and state governments actively working to address it.

The Oba commended the efforts made by these governments to restore peace and security in Babanla, assuring that measures would be taken to eliminate the remaining criminals from the surrounding forests.
