Kwara Communities Seek Aid for Rescued Banditry Victims

The communities of Woro and Nuku in the Kaiama local government area of Kwara State have appealed to the government for financial empowerment for 163 rescued victims of banditry. Alhaji Umar Bio Salihu, the community leader of Woro, emphasized the need for government support to help victims regain stability.

He acknowledged the government's initiatives, including the construction of shops, restoration of electricity, and renovation of healthcare facilities, which have improved living standards. Salihu commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and local council chairman Hon. Abubakar Abdullahi Danladi Bio for their security interventions following recent violence that resulted in over 160 deaths and significant property damage.

He also praised the security forces for their efforts in maintaining peace. Mallam Ibrahim Shuaib Sanni, the community leader of Nukku, expressed gratitude for the rescue efforts and urged continued government and security support to ensure safety.

The Emir of Kaiama, Alhaji Shehu Muazu Omar, also recognized the government's role in enhancing security for the communities.
