Kwara Government Supports Rescued Woro Residents

The Kwara State Government, in collaboration with UNICEF and the Kwara State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA), conducted an intervention program in Ilorin to support residents rescued from Woro community. The event included representatives from various organizations, including the Ministry of Health, the World Health Organisation (WHO), and E-health Africa.

Hon. Yinusa Lade, the Commissioner for Water Resources, expressed gratitude to UNICEF for its ongoing support and highlighted the initiative's role in restoring dignity and hope for the beneficiaries. He assured that the intervention materials would be distributed according to the identified needs of the rescued individuals.

Dr. Amina Ahmed El-Imam, the Commissioner for Health, represented by Dr. Oguntoye Michael, praised the partnership with UNICEF, emphasizing the need for continued collaboration to address the significant needs of vulnerable communities. Mr. Olorunfemi Oladipo, General Manager of RUWASSA, also acknowledged the importance of strong partnerships in addressing both immediate and long-term needs of these communities.
