Kwara Government Reunites 146 Kidnap Victims with Families

On [exact date not provided], the Kwara State Government successfully reunited 146 kidnapped victims from the Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area with their families after 21 days of rehabilitation. The state government also provided cash support to the victims: adults received N1 million each, youths N500,000 each, and children N200,000 each to help them restart their lives following their traumatic experience.

Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi Danladi, the Chairman of Kaiama Local Government Area and the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Kwara State, praised President Bola Tinubu and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for their efforts in securing the victims' safe return. He noted that three victims remained hospitalized for treatment.

Danladi urged public support for the victims and emphasized the collective responsibility for security within communities. The Village Head of Woro, Alhaji Umar Saliu, expressed gratitude for the victims' return and called for ongoing support to help them recover mentally and economically.
