Bassey Urges Patience with Fulham's Manager Arbeloa

Calvin Bassey, a defender for Fulham, has called for patience with the club's new manager, Álvaro Arbeloa, as they seek to recover from a challenging start to the Premier League season, having lost their first three matches against Chelsea, Sunderland, and Crystal Palace. Bassey, who has started all three league games and captained the team under Arbeloa, expressed optimism about the team's performances, stating that players are gradually adapting to the manager's methods since his appointment during the summer.

He acknowledged the difficulties ahead, particularly with an upcoming match against Liverpool at Anfield, recognizing the quality of their opponents. Bassey described his role as captain as a significant privilege and emphasized that it has not altered his leadership approach.

He joined Fulham from Ajax in 2023 and was named the club's Player of the Season for the 2024/25 campaign. His current contract runs until 2027, with an option for an additional year, and he is attracting interest from Inter Milan.
