Bauchi Police Chief Highlights Shortages Impacting Security

On Thursday, during an official visit to the Bauchi State Police Command headquarters, Commissioner Sani Omolori Aliyu disclosed that the command is facing critical shortages in manpower and arms, which are major constraints impacting its operations and effectiveness in tackling criminal activities across the state. Despite these challenges, Aliyu emphasized that the command has achieved significant success in maintaining Bauchi's reputation as a peaceful state in the country.

He pointed out that the shortage of personnel limits the command's deployment capacity and its ability to respond swiftly to emerging security threats, particularly given the increasing security challenges. Aliyu called for additional personnel to enhance the command's workforce and stressed the need for arms and ammunition to support ongoing operations aimed at combating crime.

Assistant Inspector General of Police Vungmoh Kwaimo expressed satisfaction with the command's achievements and acknowledged the concerns raised, pledging to escalate the need for appropriate support from relevant authorities.
