Bauchi Police Arrest Three in Stolen Vehicle Case

The Bauchi State Police Command arrested three suspects linked to the theft of a black Honda vehicle, a 2000 model with chassis number jhgc9564614804512. The vehicle was reported stolen on June 8, 2026, by a 53-year-old resident of Danjuma Goje Street, Bauchi.

Following the report, the police launched an immediate intelligence-led investigation, which resulted in the recovery of the stolen vehicle along Gomb Road, Bauchi. The suspects identified are Sani Saidu, 58, of Madaki Street, Bauchi, who is alleged to be the first buyer of the vehicle; Shuaibu Fagarau, 54, from Kofar Idi area, the second buyer; and Samaila Abdullahi, 46, also from Kofar Idi area.

All three suspects are currently in police custody assisting with the investigation. The Commissioner of Police, Sani Omolori Aliyu, commended the swift response of the police and reaffirmed the command's commitment to tackling criminal activities in the state.

He urged vehicle owners to adopt additional security measures, including installing tracking devices.
