Farouk Mustapha Denies VP Slot Talks with Seyi Makinde

Farouk Mustapha, a former governorship aspirant in Bauchi State, issued a statement on Friday denying reports circulating on social media that he was in talks regarding a vice presidential nomination with Seyi Makinde, the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM). Mustapha characterized the claims as entirely false, asserting that there had been no discussions or arrangements concerning the vice presidential slot within the APM.

He clarified that he had not given consent for any such proposition and expressed his contentment with whatever position God destined for him. Mustapha urged the public, particularly his supporters in Bauchi State, to disregard the rumors, which he described as mere speculation.

He further explained that the need for clarification arose following inquiries from journalists. Currently, he is in Saudi Arabia, engaged in prayer for divine guidance regarding his future political direction.
