Bauchi, UNICEF Launch Climate Resilience Project

On Monday, the Bauchi State government and UNICEF launched a climate resilience infrastructure project designed to safeguard basic services, including schools and hospitals, from the adverse effects of climate change. Dr.

Nuzhat Rafiqu, the Chief of the UNICEF Bauchi Field Office, emphasized the agency's commitment to ensuring children's safety and security, enabling them to reach their full potential. The project aims to address the immediate threats posed by climate change, which are already affecting thousands of people who struggle to access health facilities due to extreme weather conditions, such as high temperatures and severe rainstorms that can damage infrastructure.
