Bauchi University Secures NUC Approval for New Programs

Sa'adatu Zungur University in Bauchi State has been granted approval by the National Universities Commission (NUC) for 12 new academic programs, which will begin in the 2026/2027 academic session. This announcement was made by the university's Public Relations Officer, Auwa Hassan, following a comprehensive resource assessment conducted by the NUC.

The approval letter was dated June 15, 2026. The newly approved undergraduate programs include Bachelor of Education in Arabic, Hausa, Islamic Studies, Sharia, Bachelor of Science in Social Work, Agricultural Science Education, Human Kinetics Education, and Health Education.

The postgraduate programs approved consist of Master of Education in Educational Management, Doctor of Business Administration, postgraduate diploma in Law, Master of Science, and PhD in Sociology. Vice Chancellor Prof.
