BAVCCA to Report Procurement Corruption to EFCC

The Bloggers and Content Creators Association of Nigeria (BAVCCA), led by President Ikechukwu Chukwunyere, announced plans to submit detailed petitions and evidence of alleged corruption in the public procurement system to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). This announcement was made during the 2026 BAVCCA/Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) Procurement Performance Conference held in Abuja.

Chukwunyere stated that the association, in collaboration with the Council of Independent, Civic, Monitoring and Digital Investigations, had uncovered troubling patterns of wrongdoing within the public system. He emphasized that no institution should be beyond scrutiny and that transparency must lead to accountability.

The BAVCCA aims to enhance procurement education and public awareness while addressing challenges such as data manipulation and enforcement. Additionally, the association plans to expand civic engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections by organizing government and presidential debates for candidates to present their manifestos.
