Beheaded Body Discovered at University of Jos Site

On Tuesday, a beheaded body was found at the permanent site of the University of Jos in Plateau State, with the head missing. Mr.

Agama Tangni, the Chief Security Officer of the university, confirmed the incident, stating that the deceased was neither a student nor a staff member of the university. The victim was known to frequent the area, particularly a spot near a farm where he would usually come early in the morning.

Preliminary indications suggest that the attack may have been targeted, although it remains unclear if the assailants were monitoring the victim. The body has been deposited at Bingham University Teaching Hospital, and the Plateau State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.

Security measures around the university's permanent site have been heightened as investigations are ongoing.
