Beheaded Corpse Found on University of Jos Campus

On Tuesday, a beheaded corpse was found at the University of Jos campus in Plateau State, leading to increased security measures around the area. The victim, confirmed by Mr. Agama Tangni, the Chief Security Officer of the university, was neither a student nor a staff member but was known to frequent the area for farming.

The gruesome discovery indicated that the victim may have been specifically targeted, although the motive remains unclear. The assailants reportedly fled the scene with the victim's severed head.

The body was subsequently taken to the mortuary at Bingham University Teaching Hospital. The Plateau State Police Command has launched an investigation into the incident, but as of now, no official statement has been issued.

Efforts to contact the police spokesperson, DSP Alabo Alfr, were unsuccessful as the phone line was switched off.
