Benue State Enhances Water Supply with Pipeline Repairs

The Benue State government, under the leadership of Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has commenced extensive rehabilitation work on critical water infrastructure across Makurdi to improve water supply in the state capital. The initiative focuses on repairing damaged water main service lines to reduce leakages and boost water pressure, ensuring consistent distribution to households.

Titu Aondoas Umand, the General Manager of the Benue State Water Board, commended the state government's prioritization of essential infrastructure that directly impacts residents' daily lives. Several areas, including Lobi Quarter, Kwararafa Quarter, Township High Level, Old GRA, Clerk Quarter, Mission Ward, Ankpa Ward, and Angwan Jukun, have already benefited from sustained water supply.

The water board has urged residents to report any pipe bursts or leakages promptly to facilitate rapid response from maintenance teams. The board acknowledges the inconveniences faced by residents during ongoing construction and assures that affected locations will receive attention in due course.
