Gunmen Abduct Three Siblings in Benue State Incident

On Saturday morning, three siblings were abducted by armed men while they were transporting their mother's corpse from Abuja to their hometown in Okpokwu Local Government Area, Benue State. The incident occurred between 3:00 AM and 4:00 AM along the Ogobia Otukpo Road, near Omutel Ankpechi Village.

The siblings had encountered mechanical issues with their vehicle, which left them stranded on the road until 2:00 AM. As they attempted to resume their journey, they were intercepted by the armed men.

Gabriel Adol, the chairman of the Ohimini Local Government Area, confirmed the incident via telephone, stating that he was working to ascertain the details of the attack. Efforts to obtain confirmation from the Benue State Police Command were unsuccessful, as the public relations officer, DSP Udem Edet, did not respond to calls or text messages at the time of the report.
