Labour Party's Byuan Mondai Unveils Female Running Mate

Dr. Mathia Byuan Mondai, the Labour Party's governorship candidate for Benue State, announced the nomination of Mr.

Juliana Obetta as his running mate during an event at the party's state secretariat in Makurdi. Obetta, a former Executive Director of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), described the move as a bold step towards mobilizing new political direction in the state.

Mondai expressed gratitude to stakeholders for their support and assured that the party's leadership would focus on transforming Benue into an industrial state, improving education, creating jobs for youth, and upgrading health facilities. Obetta emphasized the historic nature of her nomination as the first female deputy governorship candidate on a major ticket in the state's political history, pledging loyalty to the ticket and commitment to addressing insecurity and improving governance.

William Okef, the state chairman of the Labour Party, assured that the party's structure would work tirelessly to ensure victory in the 2027 general elections.
