Benue State Mourns Former SSG Prof. David Salifu

Prof. David Salifu, the former Secretary to the Benue State Government, was fatally injured in a gunshot attack by suspected bandits on the Wukari-Makurdi road.

The incident occurred on Thursday, and he succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Friday. A statement issued by Deborah Aber, the current Secretary to the State Government, described Salifu as a dedicated public servant whose contributions to governance and education left a lasting impact on the state.

The statement was made on behalf of Governor Hyacinth Alia, who praised Salifu for his diligence, integrity, and intellect, which earned him widespread respect and left an enduring legacy. The Benue State Government expressed condolences to Salifu's family, friends, and the academic community, mourning the loss of an illustrious son of Benue.
