Aondoakaa Promises Tax Reforms for Benue Businesses

Michael Aondoakaa, SAN, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Benue State, spoke at the Igbo day celebration in Gboko, commending the Igbo community for their significant contributions to the economic growth of Benue and Nigeria. He acknowledged their roles in commerce, trade, and employment creation, while expressing concern over the hardships faced by businesses due to excessive taxation imposed by the current administration.

Aondoakaa stated that the burdensome taxes have led to business collapses and discouraged investment. He emphasized that taxation should not hinder business survival and growth, advocating for reasonable, transparent, and predictable tax structures.

Aondoakaa assured the Igbo community and the broader business sector that if elected governor in 2027, his administration would implement comprehensive tax reforms aimed at fostering a more business-friendly environment in Benue State.
