Benue Teaching Hospital Orders Striking Doctors to Vacate Quarters Amid Crisis

Benue Teaching Hospital in Makurdi, Benue State, has given a three-month notice to striking resident doctors to vacate their quarters for comprehensive renovation. The hospital's Chief Medical Director, Dr.

Stephen Hwand, announced this decision following the ongoing industrial action led by the doctors' president, Kawen Pededoo. The doctors have raised concerns about poor accommodation and welfare, leading to the prolonged strike affecting the hospital's progress towards becoming a world-class medical center.

The appeal for intervention from Governor Hyacinth Alia aims to end the strike and improve the hospital's facilities.
