Path Possible Resource Centre Celebrates 10 Years of Impact

Path Possible Resource Centre, founded by Titilolami Bello in 2009, recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, reflecting on a decade of transforming the lives of underserved children in Ikota, Lagos. The organization has evolved from providing scholarships to offering comprehensive community learning services, including free library access, digital literacy training, and vocational education programs.

Bello highlighted the alarming rise in the number of school children in Nigeria, stating that the country cannot solely rely on conventional classroom education to address its educational crisis. Currently, the center supports thousands of children in acquiring basic computer literacy and vocational skills.

However, operational challenges have arisen, including difficulties in accessing public electricity and internet services, leading to increased costs. To ensure uninterrupted learning, the organization plans to install a solar energy system estimated at N18 million.

Funmilayo Akanmu, trustee director of the charity, noted that scholarships alone are insufficient to meet the growing educational needs of the community.
