NYSC Corps Member Empowers 1,102 Women and Students

Joi Alkali, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), empowered 1,102 women and students in Taraba State through vocational training and literacy programs. The initiative, inaugurated on a Tuesday, included a three-month literacy program and a week-long training in baking and pastry confectionery.

Alkali emphasized the importance of empowering women to strengthen families and communities, urging beneficiaries to utilize their acquired skills to establish small businesses. Additionally, she donated school uniforms to 30 students at Government Day Secondary School Howai to support educational access.

NYSC Taraba State Coordinator Ella Aji William commended Alkali's community-focused project, which aligns with NYSC's objectives. The initiative also received praise from local leaders, including Sundai Wankari William and Lafal Clement, who highlighted its positive impact on the community and the educational environment at the school.
