Boko Haram Kills 20 Loggers, Abducts Many in Borno

On Tuesday, Boko Haram militants killed 20 loggers and abducted an unspecified number of individuals in the Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State. Local security sources reported that the loggers, who were gathering firewood, ignored earlier warnings to vacate the area due to threats of an impending attack.

The assailants ambushed the loggers, resulting in the deaths of 22 individuals, with victims suffering throat slitting and gunshot wounds at close range. Additionally, at least 30 children were among those abducted, according to Amnesty International.

This incident highlights the ongoing violence and instability in the region, as Boko Haram continues its campaign of unlawful killings and abductions with apparent impunity.
