Borno Governor Zulum Distributes Farm Tools, Commissions School

On Sunday, Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum distributed 1,000 solar-powered water pumps and 200 complete tubewell drill kits to farmers in Damasak, Mobbar Local Government Area. This initiative is part of Zulum's agricultural intervention strategy to boost dry season farming and enhance the livelihoods of returnees as they gradually resettle in the community.

The governor emphasized the importance of adopting strategies that align with the state's food security framework, particularly in the context of limited rain-fed agriculture due to climate variability and population growth. Additionally, Zulum commissioned a newly constructed Islamic school in Damasak, marking a significant milestone in the state government's policy to expand and modernize educational facilities across Borno State.
