Borno Governor’s Aide Receives National Digital Award

Bundi, an aide to the Borno Governor, was awarded the National Digital Communication Award at the 6th National Spokespersons Awards ceremony held at the Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja. He was among 15 individuals and organizations recognized for excellence in public communication.

Other honorees included Mr. Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, the Kano State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, and Hakama Sidi-Ali, the Director of Corporate Communications at the Central Bank of Nigeria. The event featured the 4th Edition of the Economic Confidential Lecture, chaired by Dr. Ike Neliaku, President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.

The selection process involved 171 nominations, with 99 entries meeting eligibility requirements, leading to 30 finalists across 15 categories. A seven-member jury evaluated the entries based on impact, innovation, originality, reach, and quality of evidence.

The awards aimed to promote informed national discourse and strengthen professional communication in Nigeria.
