Borno Senator Disburses N135.65m for Eid Celebrations

Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan, representing Borno Central, distributed a total of N135,650,000 to All Progressives Congress (APC) executives in his constituency to assist with preparations for the upcoming Eid el-Kabir celebrations. The disbursement occurred on Thursday and was shared via a statement on his Facebook page.

This donation marks the third occasion that Lawan has contributed funds to party executives, reflecting his commitment to support the party and strengthen democratic principles. Additionally, it was noted that Lawan had previously withdrawn from the Borno governorship race, endorsing his rival Mustapha Gubio, who is backed by Governor Babagana Zulum.

This decision followed a stakeholders' meeting in Abuja, where it was agreed that Lawan would step down in favor of Gubio to retain the Senate seat.
