Lawmaker Donates N135.6 Million to APC Officials

Hon. Abdulkadir Rahi, a member of the House of Representatives for Maiduguri Metropolitan, recently distributed a total of N135,650,000 to All Progressives Congress (APC) officials in his constituency.

This included N26 million allocated specifically for party officials as part of the Sallah celebrations. Rahi, who recently won the primary election with the highest votes of 20,509, is serving his fifth consecutive term in the House.

He previously held the position of chairman of the Maiduguri Metropolitan Council. The cash distribution event, which took place on social media, aimed to support party loyalists and stakeholders during the festive period.

However, the gesture elicited mixed reactions online, with some party loyalists praising Rahi while others criticized the display of such a large sum of cash.
