Borno Senator Donates N135M to APC for Eid Celebrations

On Thursday, Borno Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan distributed a total of N135,650,000 in cash to APC officials as part of the Eid el-Kabir celebrations. This donation is noted as the third time Lawan has contributed financially since becoming a member of the National Assembly.

The funds were intended to support the APC executive in the Borno Central constituency. Lawan's gesture comes amid his political activities, including obtaining a governorship nomination form for the party.

Initially, he endorsed Mustapha Gubio as the gubernatorial candidate for the APC; however, Gubio later withdrew his candidacy, allowing Lawan to settle back into his senatorial role without opposition.
