Court Halts Police Enforcement of Tinted Glass Permit Policy

The Federal High Court in Warri has issued an order preventing the Nigeria Police Force from enforcing the tinted glass permit policy. The court directed the police to maintain the status quo pending the resolution of the dispute over the policy.

The order came after a suit was filed by lawyer John Edokwe on behalf of the Nigerian Bar Association. The court cautioned the police against taking any action that could undermine the pending case.

Initially set to commence enforcement on October 3, the police are now expected to hold off following the court's directive until an appeal court ruling is made.
