Gbajabiamila Sues Adeyemi for N15bn Defamation Claim

Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, has initiated a defamation lawsuit against Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claims to be the Director General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). The suit was filed in the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and seeks a total of N15 billion in damages.

Specifically, Gbajabiamila is demanding N10 billion in general damages, N5 billion in aggravated damages, and N200 million to cover legal costs. Additionally, he is requesting the court to compel Adeyemi to publish a full retraction and an unreserved apology in five national newspapers.

This legal action comes amid ongoing investigations involving Adeyemi and his alleged connections to the controversial PFIPC.
