NAFDAC Bans 101 Pharmaceutical Products in Nigeria for Public Safety

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration Control (NAFDAC) in Nigeria has announced the immediate ban, withdrawal, suspension, or cancellation of 101 pharmaceutical products across the country. The affected medicines and health products, including antimalarials, cardiovascular drugs, diabetes medications, and widely used products, are no longer permitted for manufacture, importation, distribution, or sale within Nigeria.

The decision was made to ensure public health and safety, with the full list of banned items published on NAFDAC's official website. The banned products were manufactured by various pharmaceutical companies, and the ban aims to prevent the use of potentially harmful or substandard medications in the country.
