BREAKING: NDLEA Arrests Popular Nigerian Pastor for Drug Dealing [PHOTO]

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested popular Nigerian pastor and founder of the General Overseer Turn Mercy Church, Prophet Adefolusho Aanu Olasele, also known as Abbas Ajakaiye, for his alleged involvement in drug trafficking. The arrest took place on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the church premises in Okun Ajah, Lekki, Lagos, after a siege by NDLEA operatives.

Prophet Adefolusho is said to have been on the run for a month, fleeing to Ghana twice to evade capture. The arrest follows the seizure of two large consignments of cannabis linked to him, weighing 200kg and 700kg, intercepted in June and July.

Additionally, another suspect, Benjamin Udo Ukoh, was arrested in a separate raid in Ikoyi. The NDLEA has been conducting a nationwide drug seizure operation, with commendations from Executive Brig Mohamed Buba Mar.
