Buhari Abdulfatai Announces Oyo Governorship Bid for 2027

Buhari Abdulfatai formally declared his ambition to contest the 2027 Oyo State governorship election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). This declaration took place during a visit to the APC secretariat in Ibadan, where he was accompanied by party leaders and loyalists, including former Oyo State APC chairman Chief Akin Oke and former senator Brimmo Yemi Yusuff.

Abdulfatai expressed his desire to restore progressive leadership in Oyo State and emphasized the importance of selfless service and commitment to the state's development. He called for a fair and transparent selection process for party aspirants ahead of the governorship primaries and urged APC members to remain united to support President Bola Tinubu's administration.

Abdulfatai expressed optimism that the APC could reclaim power in Oyo State in the upcoming election, stressing the need for party cohesion to avoid internal divisions that could weaken their electoral prospects.
