New Book on Buratai's Army Leadership to Launch in Abuja

The book 'Military Transformational Leadership in Action: The Buratai Era', authored by Dr M. S.

Abubakar, will be publicly presented on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 9:45 a.m. at the Nigerian Army Conference Centre and Suites in Asokoro, Abuja. The presentation is organized by the Buratai Legacy Presentation Committee, with collaboration from Sprezzatura Publishing Limited and Clarivox Creative Limited.

The publication explores the leadership decisions and institutional changes during Tukur Yusufu Buratai's tenure as chief of army staff, particularly focusing on the military's response to insurgency and terrorism in Nigeria's northeast. The event will feature President Bola Tinubu as the Special Guest of Honour, with former Minister of Defence Alhaji Umaru Abdul Mutallab chairing the occasion.

Gen Christopher Musa (rtd) is set to present the book, while businessman Dahiru Barau Mangal will serve as co-chief launcher. Maj Gen I.

D. Penap (rtd) will review the publication, and all serving service chiefs, including Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, are expected to attend.
