Bus Crash in Ilorin Market: No Fatalities Reported

On Saturday, an 18-seater Toyota Hiace bus crashed into a market in Ilorin, Kwara State, after the driver lost control due to brake failure. Eyewitnesses reported that the driver, Rasaq Adio, shouted for help and waved to alert road users as the vehicle veered off the road and smashed into a concrete barricade, coming to a halt inside the market.

Fortunately, no fatalities were recorded. Tajudeen Alata, an eyewitness, noted the prompt intervention of traffic officials from the Kwara State Road Traffic Management Authority (Kwara State RTMA), who quickly understood the situation and directed people away from the junction to prevent a devastating accident at one of Ilorin's busiest intersections.

The officials cleared the junction within a short time, ensuring that traffic flow was restored and preventing the bus from colliding with several vehicles and pedestrians in the crowded area.
