NSCDC Arrests Two Suspected Bandits in Kwara State

On March 3, 2026, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) arrested two suspected bandits, Abubakar Jubril, aged 28, and Moham Abubakar, aged 26, in Kwara State. The arrests occurred in the Saminaka community of Patigi Local Government Area, following sustained surveillance operations based on intelligence reports.

The NSCDC's Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ayoola Michael, confirmed the arrests in a statement issued in Ilorin.

The operation led to the recovery of a pistol with serial number 7886 made in the USA, a mobile phone, tramadol, and cigarettes. Bala Bawa Bodinga, the NSCDC commandant in Kwara State, reiterated the commitment of the corps to ongoing operations aimed at tackling criminal activities and ensuring the safety of lives and property.

He urged individuals involved in criminal activities to desist, warning that they would face the full weight of the law. The suspects will be charged in court upon completion of investigations and will be transferred to the appropriate security agency for further investigation.
