NSCDC Arrests Two Bandits, Recovers Firearm in Kwara

On March 3, 2026, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) conducted an intelligence-driven operation in Saminaka Community, Patigi Local Government Area, Kwara State, resulting in the arrest of two suspected bandits, Abubakar Jubril, aged 28, and Moham Abubakar, aged 26. The operation followed sustained surveillance and was part of a broader command effort to ensure the prompt arrest of criminals in the area.

A third suspect managed to escape. Items recovered from the suspects included a pistol with serial number 7886 made in the USA, a mobile phone, and drugs suspected to be tramadol, along with cigarettes.

Bala Bodinga, the Kwara State Command of the NSCDC, reaffirmed the commitment to tackling criminal activities and safeguarding lives and property. He warned individuals involved in criminal activities to desist or face the full weight of the law and urged the public to remain vigilant and provide credible information to aid security agencies.
