Army Chief's Visit Boosts Morale of Sokoto Troops

He described the visit as a significant moral booster for troops engaged in counter-banditry operations in Northwest Nigeria. The visit took place on a Thursday, where Maj.

Gen. Godwin Mutkut represented the command of the Infantry Corps of the Nigerian Army.

During the visit, troops stationed at a forward operational base in Tureta Local Government Area shared lunch with the Chief of Army Staff. Usman emphasized the importance of military leadership in inspiring soldiers and reaffirmed the Sokoto State government's commitment to supporting security agencies in their operations against banditry.

He urged residents to continue cooperating with security agencies to enhance ongoing military operations aimed at restoring peace in affected communities.
